Solar + Storage Greece 01
A 5 MWp solar park with a 5 MW / 10 MWh battery in Thessaly, central Greece. Greece now regularly curtails solar at midday, so pairing generation with storage is what protects the value of every megawatt-hour.

About this issuance
Solar + Storage Greece 01 is a 5 MWp solar park with a co-located 5 MW / 10 MWh battery in Thessaly. Greece has added solar faster than almost any market in Europe, and on sunny days midday prices regularly fall to zero or below while surplus output is curtailed. A solar park without storage is exposed to exactly those hours. With a battery on site, the project stores its midday output instead of curtailing it or selling it cheaply, and releases it in the evening, when solar fades, gas plants set the price and tariffs are at their highest. The battery can also earn revenue from balancing services. Each Energy Unit gives economic exposure to around 550 Wp of solar capacity and 1.1 kWh of storage plus a proportional share of common infrastructure.
